I wasn't gonna say it, but I do agree as well.
Not only that, it's now extremely easy to reverse engineer an app (even if it's minified code) and get it working "fully" with no restrictions. I was surprised at how easy it was to do this using Claude Opus 4.6, got it done in less than 30 mins. It's insane. Same goes for Chrome extensions.
That's why I think the software dev roles are at risk and the average salary across them have dropped. I know this not just because of how good AI is at replacing the junior or even intermediate software dev roles, but I've got a data analytics tool that scrapes Seek and scans all the jobs and lets me analyze the demand, trends and the salary info across them and software devs definitely aren't as well paid and in demand as before.
Still, good on people trying to utilize AI tools to make something and sell for profit.
Would you be willing to share that scraper? I've got a job listed and i was trying to build one to scrape info on all jobs in same area and industry but it was struggling to go past the first page of ads and i wasnt willing to put anymore effort into debugging..

Honestly this kind of app can be whipped up by a vibe coder in an afternoon. In 12 months it will be even easier for any Tom, Dick or Harry to do it as well.
The design very much has vibe coded elements itself too..
