Half Price Fibre for First 5 Months: 100/20 $33.50, 500/100 $49.50, 878/500 $57.50 + $1 Fee + BYO Modem or $15 Del. @ Zeronet

Just switched my broadband provider and this is the one I end up with, not sure when the deals finish.

For the fibre starter plan, it works out to be $53.05 per month over the 12 months contract, I believe that's the cheapest fibre starter plan available at the moment, not sure if the same can be said for the faster plans though, please do your own research 😅.

Cost calculations (7 months + 5 months half price)

$1 sign up cost
BYO Router or free rental with $15 delivery cost
Mercusys AX1500

Fibre Starter - 100Mbps/20Mbps
$67 x 9.5 / 12 = $53.05

Fibre Essentials - 500Mbps/100Mbps
$99 x 9.5 / 12 = $78.38

Fibre Max - 878Mbps/500Mbps
$115 x 9.5 / 12 = 91.05

NOTE: Hyerfibre plans are not included in the promotion.
NOTE2: Their referral programme is still active, but it is $40 per plan signed up.

I would highly advise proceeding with caution for Zeronet. Had a nightmare of a time dealing with them and their dodgyness, trying to charge me through the nose for "early exit fees" and then after the 30 day notice was up, still trying to charge my account for the next month. Customer support is terribly slow and unreliable. Most nightmareish company ive had to deal with full stop

Do not touch zeronet. Worst Internet company ive ever dealt with.

I ended up needing to take them to the disputes tribunal because they refused to waive the early exit fee to leave the fixed term early, after months of terrible speeds and non-existent support.

They didn’t even show up to the tribunal in the end, so I won by default (got my early exit fee back as well as 50% of everything I'd paid them for the internet service so far).

    Honestly shocking. Steer clear.

Terrible internet company, I have a friend who used them but got slow speeds and zero service.

    I'd stay clear of them.

    • My experience has been good. I’m in chch fwiw

Well I’ve personally had no issues

They didn’t supply me the admin pwd for the router but were quick in live chat to supply it

Zeronet really puts the 'zero' in their network speeds

That's incorrect. Yes, all ISP's can purchase wholesale connections from Chorus and the other LFC's, but there's so much more to it than that beyond just billing. POP's, handovers, upstream connectivity, and a bunch of other things are involved and very much do vary from ISP to ISP.

      • Alright, maybe I am mostly wrong. But I had more pain with Contact Fibre than Zeronet… just saying that its not thaaat bad..

Switched away from Zeronet about 6 months ago. Didn't really have any problems but I hardly needed to deal with customer service and my speeds were good. I left mainly because they didn't offer me any sort of deal to re-sign including letting me have what was on offer to new customers. So I've now jumped to Skinny.

Have you guys tried the Mighty Mobile fastest plan on 5G? It's pretty decent. Got it during the BOGOF promotional period. I sold one, which brought the cost down to around $33 per month for 1 year.

Got myself a decent 5G router and it works pretty well.

    • What's your speeds like and does it work well for remote working and video calls? I find that the stability of fibre and at least 100/20 is required for modern remote working.

      • I get about 290/40 with ZTE MC801A Pro 5G router

  • I've been using it for two years now and haven't had any issues. The customer service reps were quick to respond, and I've had no issues at all. It's also the lowest price, so I'm satisfied.

I would highly recommend anyone who's a customer or thinking of signing up look up zeronet reviews on Google and change to newest review… And read the review by "DV N"…. With supporting photos posted today. Disclaimer, i don't know the person. But the review and photos are mind-blowing.

    I'm personally experience similar incompetence.
I signed up last month to starter mobile plan. As an aside, very happy with the product and the price.

However a few days after signing up i got an email that my number (showed a number that's not mine) has been upgraded to essential mobile plan at my request (I did not request this). However upon logging in sure enough it's applied to my account. Even though it's not me or my number. So last month and now this month I've been overcharged. To be fair they did refund the overpayment last month, but not this month.

I've gone on chat 4 times about this singluar issue, each time they promise to look into what's gone wrong, fix it, change the plan, refund the overpayment but after a month nothing has happened. They never call when they say they will, never email me back later as they say they will. Each chat session takes up 30+ minutes and in total i believe it's now 6 chat sessions trying to resolve issues.
