There's an incredible combination of dirt cheap one way flights to Europe at present with competition between Air China, China Southern and China Eastern where usually even the infamous Scoot doesn't compete with prices this low!

@beatthatflight - when I looked up the AKL-Rome flight I checked other destinations and noticed that you can go AKL-HK for $272 on 25 Jan. Looks like it might be worth expanding this list to include Asian destinations.
