  • says Product offer valid until 11:59pm 26/12/2025 in description

    • "Product offer valid until 11:59pm 26/12/2025. Limit 1 per customer. Personal shoppers only. Trade not supplied."

It's part of their "The Big Sale"
So it should probably say "Product offer valid until 11:59pm 05/01/2026. Limit 2 per customer. Personal shoppers only. Trade not supplied."

      • It's now $1495

        • Still part of advertised sale but they changed the price,
and they still cant be bothered to update the description still says
"Product offer valid until 11:59pm 26/12/2025. Limit 1 per customer. Personal shoppers only. Trade not supplied.".

          Well I'll expire this deal.

    • The price is still valid on the website.

I went in store and bought it at the same price. Didn't even have to show them the web page.

Almost worth it just for the 32Gb of ddr5, :D :(

I don't use windowws much these days, so i could be out of date, but that seems like very low res for a modern 16" screen size given the other specs.

Edit also lowish res web cam too.

For UI scaling for 16"@1080p is fine…(something doesn't feel quite right), not quite at the point of "definitely too low res for screen size", preferably 14" or under for 1080p tho (currently running a 13.3").
For non Windows even the M4/5 MacBook Pro still uses a 1080p webcam.

      • Again, perhaps I'm not understanding the specs, so forgive me if I'm wrong. I just recall from my Windows desktop days that 1080p webcams were a bit naff in quality. Perhaps 1080p, that is in both this and the 12 megapixel cameras in Macs are the same quality.

Whats that got to do with windows?

      • Sorry, there's a word missing: "don't use Windows laptops much these days", and I cannot edit the comment anymore.

16" is decent for 1080p with 1x scaling. It won't look as good as a higher resolution with 2x scaling (like a MBP), but things will be decently sized and readable and you get the full 1920x1080 usable resolution (unlike, e.g., a MBP M4, which has 1512x982 usable with the default 2x scaling).

  • Thoughts from those who got one?
