possibly targeted but when I logged into ubereats there is a spend $40 save $30 deal at quite a few places and some have a freebie with $35 spend which you can also claim pair this whichever cashback you like I think its a pretty good deal! unsure if there is an expiry, only works once per account.

I agree that this deal seems to be targeted.
The only offer I see currently is $20 off of a minimum $40 spend 'at select grocery stores' (which itself might be targeted I guess).
Nice one if it shows for you though :-)

I wonder if it's some variation of the referral offer?
Mine is:
$20 off your order for referring friends
Refer up to 50 friends who are new to Uber Eats. If they complete a delivery order:
You get $20 off your next order
($40 minimum order. At select stores. Valid for 28 days)
Your friends get $20 off their first 2 orders
($40 minimum order. At select stores. Valid for 56 days)
Yep - mine could be that.

Lucky me then i guess!

For what its worth, I haven't actually ordered groceries from Uber Eats before, only takeaway on a deal, and then only maybe three times in many years.
So, I figured I would have a look, and was disappointed to find that most of the pricing of products via Uber Eats is massively inflated (mostly double or more) compared to the prices that you see at the same store on the store's own website.
It makes the $20 off $40 offer that I see in Uber Eats completely worthless - you'd be far better off just ordering on the store's own website for delivery, and paying far less overall, especially if you get to whatever their free delivery amount is.
I only checked one local supermarket, so maybe it varies, but I won't be bothering to check any more.

Targeted for sure
