    For me, I'm gonna buy replacement Metro firebricks. (Never discounted) It's the chance to buy other logburner parts if those are needed or will be soon. You have to make sure they are in stock though, not special order, because those are excluded.

    Other possible good ideas could be any branded replacement filters for fridges, home ventilation systems, water, lawnmowers. Pool and spa cleaners and accessories. All those unsexy things that are needed but there is no competition to have a discounted price.

    Also Number 8 branded stuff might be good. These are the budget brand that don't usually get discounted either in my experience?

            @Liger Zero: In most cases no, they won't know. Only way they can find out is if the item has unique barcode which is registered in the system.

          Lol i did this. Bunnings was selling something for $60 a pair, bought 5 pairs. Mitre 10 selling for $20 a pair. But I had already installed the items. So I just bought from Mitre 10 and then refunded at Bunnings. I was thinking to actually price match Mitre 10 and then refund with the original receipt but Bunnings actually have any more stock, so settled with buying from Mitre 10.

          We just had to do this to Kmart, bought some clearance chairs last year and only got round to getting a table for them well past the return date to find out one chair had a funny leg. Bought the new version of the chairs that has a different colour top, swapped the weird leg in to that box and took it back. Don't feel bad as the product we had was faulty and unusable but couldn't be returned.

    Pool salt for the water softener for me! Haven't seen that discounted for ages. On that. Is anyone aware of any cheap salt? I probably go though a 20kg bag once a month or so. Wonder if farmlands or something do a pallet of em.

      I go through a few sacks too. I remember when Mitre 10 did a cheap as deals on it a few years ago for $5 per sack.

      I usually get Mitre10 to price beat The Warehouse - as TWH have it for 16 versus 16.28 at M10, so usually the same standard 15% off discount. Never seen anything better than that (at least not recently)…sadly….

    Very rare for this sort of special although you can usually get it if you do a price match as Bunnings is usually slightly cheaper. Wonder if you get an extra discount if paying by farmlands card

    If anyone is wondering, I went today and noted that a "3 for $X" deal was applied, then the 15% taken off the discounted amount.

    I imagine price promise is not allowed as part of this promo due to their wording, but can't find it explicitly set out.

    This would be great for plants, especially in season which are not yet discounted. Match that with the number 8 compost and potting mix or garden mix never on sale. I'm also thinking security items like door locks, baby gates and baby proofing.
