  • The codes say:

*This voucher code cannot be combined or stacked with any other codes, offers, or discounts, unless specified otherwise.

This voucher code is not in conjunction with Samsung promotions and other voucher code and is subject to stock availability at time of purchase. Any product belongs to existing promotion will get automatically removed once code is applied.

Do samsung care/cancel orders when using both stacked?

    • +2

Ignore it, they're stack able, my order is with delivery company already

I guess Worst case your order gets canceled, if they change their mind.

      • How about the TV/panel itself, is it decent? Does it support playback of tv shows/movies etc videos via the USB in the back etc(my parents want this level of function rather than using another box)?

        • Idk i haven't received it yet, Just put the order in the other day myself, but specs put it above basic TV's at that price

I'd assume it be able to pull images/video from USB since you can have screensaver Frame/Picture mode

  • What do you guys use as the "trade-up" appliance? Just your current (older) tv's, or do you go out and grab something secondhand to use?
I have an old monitor (32) which I use as a TV, wondering if this would count, or whether I would need to provide an actual TV (T's & C's simply refer to "the appliance")

    • +2

I've used old monitors that i had chromecast attached, technically a display/tv (I hope its valid, I'd argue that the T&C's weren't clear enough if they complain)
but you could use a broken/damaged tv or pickup Facebook cheapo tv since you get $400 even if the tv is not working

Just select the not working option even if it is and just put a note on the box for the recyclers letting them know it works, so it could be repurposed.

  • Must. Resist. The. Sale.

Although good that any TV 50" below is worth $400 on this. Last one I checked it's only worth $100 so would be good if you are going to upgrade your TV

    • Yeah its what made this deal so much better.
As well as the Size/Price ratio and considering this is a May 2025 model too

  • the online review i saw mentioned this is a rebadged QN70F which is mini led but edge lit - where usually mini led is backlit. someone can explain why this is contradictory technology?

    • From MightyApe's website description "See all the details with Quantum Matrix Technology Slim, which precisely controls all Mini LEDs. This innovative backlighting technology delivers sharp and accurate contrast.". I read the same reviews as you and am wondering if I should upgrade from a Q60A (55inch) to this one

    • this is not true, there is a later post on reedit, confirmed by Samsung sales rep the TV is back-lit

      https://www.reddit.com/r/4kTV/comments/1n5e8co/samsung_qn1ef…

      • Yeah there's a Youtube video I saw about a month back about it, tried looking for it again yesterday couldn't find it

it's in vertical bands as per this image
        Mini LED Backlight

So while not the best still better than edge lit.

  • Any codes that will work on the Tab S10 FE? I have an EPP store login also

  • +2

$1,149.98 with trade up on student EPP store. Does anyone have promo codes for EPP?

    • Any EPP code?

  • I have traded in phones for phones before but nothing else. Whats the deal with tvs? Can i trade in an old computer monitor or is it tv for tv? The faqs are kinda confusing

    • Any Old monitor just tick no for not working

  • +2

Heres another code. Unsure if it stacks.

Code: SO-ON910B-OT = $200 discount on almost all products!*

    Ends 3 Nov — go!
*Min spend $1000. T&Cs apply. Excludes S25 FE, Tab S11 series, Tab S10 Lite, and Buds3 FE.

    • +1

Thank you! I used to get a Tab S10 FE+ and Watch Fit3 for $691 total. I added the watch to get it over $1000. $200 off plus the $100 off in the OP plus 10% welcome in the app. Stoked with that deal since the tab is usually $1249 RRP.

  • OOS?

    • Probably, 500+ clicks 10% buying them would mean 50 gone easy.

55" also drops to similar price maybe ~$100 cheaper

  • I’m seeing OOS also

  • I think 55 inch has sold out now

    • Yeah it was a great price at 789.10 after additional 10% off for first time app users(with trade-in)

  • You can get a lesser version 65" for $1099 with trade-in

      55" too

      • Yes 55 , it was there an hour ago disappeared and came back so they can't be many units left

Has anyone considered upgrading their epp membership for money off? I'm not buying Samsung stuff at the moment as I just upgraded but $80 a year will get you an $80 voucher now and then $80 a month on our orders over $300. Probably not worth it if you aren't making a couple of reasonable value purchases in the coming year but might benefit someone here after a TV and phone upgrade.

I can't link to it as the information is behind the epp portal log in but here's the screenshot of their email.

    https://files.cheapies.nz/upload/3625/5739/aiselect_20251002…

    • The funny thing is they sent me three links to the Samsung Members EPP Store but I can only log into that store through the link. When I first started using that site, the webpages wouldn't load so I used incognito, It seems to work OK now and I'm able to put stuff in the cart but I still have to use the link. The $80 voucher.seems like a good bonus, but I read the fine print and it said they cannot be used with other vouchers.

  • 65" OOS again

  • 55" OOS again too :-(

    • in stock right now

  • Has anyone tested the gaming features for this tv yet? Any good? There r literally no reviews out there yet ..

  • The 55 is back in stock only for a very limited time so be quick, I got mine yesterday for $790 same price I paid for the 55 model below it a year ago as an excellent picture for the price although the operating system is a bit of a pain.

  • Bugger, i wish i knew about the extra 10%.
    I just git the 55” for $899

    • +1

I cancelled my first order and re ordered from the app. $790! Bargain!!!

      • nice :)

  • +2

55 inch is back in stock.

Lol i got down voted for that?

    • Probably somebody clicked on your comment an hour later and the 55" was gone and blamed you.

      • Its still in stock atm, they must lack patience lol

        • lol and they came back and negged again 🤣

  • Lesser versions still available with $400 Trade In.
    https://www.samsung.com/nz/tvs/qled-tv/qef1-55-inch-qled-4k-…

  • I had a few issues trying to install Threenow/TVNZ apps out of the box throwing an error code and it required to restart the TV for each app to download/install but got there in the end.

Playing files off USB stick it will always force the captions on(turing off only works for that specific file in that moment) if any are included with the file, to remove them from playing in every file:
While playing the video, access the option menu, choose subtitles, scroll down to text-opacity and turn it to see-through.

    • How's the screen?
is the Mini Led Back light in Vertical bands across the screen or just around edges of the screen?

  • After some research with the help of chatgpt looking at multiple sources it seems it is highly likely to be edge lit same as QN70F, however the vertical bands/arrays shown in the marketing area are likely the vertical 'light guide columns/arrays"' which channel the light from the edge lit LEDs. It is definitely not full array led lighting, and probably better than edge lit only lighting. So it reconciles the confusion between reddit saying edge lit and Samsung reps and marketing saying multiple vertical arrays or backlit.

Do you think given that, it is still worth buying at $800? I guess any other TV in that price range will generally be a normal LED with edge lighting anyway?

    • +1

Which is why I asked Dunno, easiest way is for someone to test it and see what shows up on screen (Mines not arriving till Friday this week)

      Running something like this:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYtvehF9-Z8

You'll either see the just edges lit up or vertical bands, I'm guessing.
And yeah other Tv's were just plain LED and often only 50hz refresh rather than 100hz/144hz and lacking a decent upscaler (since most content is 1080p or less on NZ broadcast TV)

At the end of the day it really depends on your budget and where you're coming from.

For me it was a great upgrade for my parents/family home as the current TV is a Samsung 55" LED from 2017, So a nice upgrade to 65" and the tech has vastly improved since then.
I don't have to worry about a TV for the next 5-7yrs and its under warranty/CGA now
Also get access to Samsung Plus
Also in future, I can trade it in or sell it, since Samsung/Sony/LG tend to retain more value than other Tv's and the loss between purchase and sold price will be a lot less (The alternative was a 65" Panasonic that was lesser spec'd for $989 or TCL/Hisense 55" Mini led)

      • I don't want to mislead anyone with my comments on it given how little I know of the tech. I will leave it to others to comment on.

  • Anyone got their TV yet? My eta keeps getting pushed back

    • Got mine delivered on Friday, hasn't been setup though.

    • Ordered on the October 2 and arrived on October 9 RD address. Still on its box though.

    • yep got mine, 65". No complaints, was replacing an old TV though.

Had heard bad things about Tizen but it seems OK. Has the Stremio app available so loaded that up and all systems go, don't see any difference between that versus using the shield TV android app.
