just beware that this is the Vertuo capsules that currently Nespresso exclusive (so will need to purchase from Nespresso). If you want variety of coffee pod, you'll need the older nespresso type capsule machine rather than this one.
That warning about the capsule price is 100% warranted - Vertuo models don't use the regular capsules found in most Nespresso machines but instead use a larger type of capsule that Nespresso aggressively protects the intellectual property for.
You can buy regular Nespresso compatible capsules in lots of places, but Vertuo capsules are only sold by Nespresso. Therefore your options are limited and you will end up paying more for coffee.
Vertuo doesn’t necessarily taste better than original pods. Not worth the hype.
So the pros of this is that the pods flavours on offer etc are really lovely and different and comparable to american flavours like.. Maple, dessert flavours etc.. Con you cannot buy pods from anywhere else but Nespresso so you are stuck into their pricing which is quite expensive.
The difference is as mentioned above you cannot use any other pods that arent exclusively sold by Nespresso.. These pods are usually stronger (double shot rather than single shot on regular nespresso machines) and the flavours are vast.
I would own both personally for variety if I could get one cheap enough or ideally win one!
If you are looking to get a machine definitely get a regular machine, you have much better options for buying pods which are way cheaper.
How is the quality of this? Honestly I am basic and like instant but have always wanted one of these.
