According to Pricespy it has only dropped to this price once, earlier this year in June.

Yes the tizen operating system absolutely sucks.
I pretty much stayed away from Samsung for many years since the first attempt and not come back.
Google TV integrated into other units as much much cleaner and faster + upgradable.
it's a non issue, plug a Fire TV Stick in?
Eh, not the most elegant solution when paying top dollar for a brand new TV.. doesn’t matter for me as mines plugged in to my PC which I use for all content, but for other use cases, having to pay another $150~ for a capable 4K streamer seems kind of rediculous

$1599 is fiya plus no worries about burn in and Google TV os.
Sony store NZ has that one for the same price, plus you can get another $100 off with a sign up offer.
Hey good catch mate, I had checked that last night but the price was still over 2k then. I think they have removed free delivery for TVs tho. Sad times
I have a Samsung in the office and Tizen sucks ****** ****!!
Google TV streamer hooked up to it helps, but would much prefer it built in.
