  • So if you buy the smaller twin pack for $30, then trade in 1 of them you can get a 2.5 and 2x 5.2 batteries for $180.

    • It's still more value to buy 5x2.5 ah batteries, you also get 5x charger. Unless you have a specific need to use the 5.2 ah batteries.

      • I actually prefer the smaller ones on most tools, it's only the wet/dry vac that I like the big packs as the small ones don't last long enough. For drills, drivers and lighter tools the reduced weight is far nicer to handle.

      • The power available from bigger packs is often worth having. As an example I have a 12V M12 Milwaukee circ saw, using anything but my 6Ah battery results in lacklustre performance. So it really depends what you are using for, i'd always go for bigger capacity for the times you actually need the power.

  • I have a ton of black and decker 18v batteries i could trade (limit 2) but i cant see too much value at $75 for an ozito or $115 for ryobi batteries.

You can get ozito 2 x 4ah and a charger for $115 without trade.

    • however that would be regular non ultra battery.

  • Even they just remove the trade in and give $50 off to the two battery packs still not a very good deal.

  • I wonder if you can tape together 2 9V batteries and call it 18v and trade it in too?

  • They will take any 18 battery, doent even needs to be in workin condition
