    whats in it these days?

    • +1

You can check your city by adding the location here

  • Can you redeem the same thing multiple times? Or is each item single use?

    • +1

Single use… bought it last time and struggle to find places to use it, not as good as it used to be.

This reminds me of an article I saw on the NZHerald 2 weeks ago announcing that the Entertainment book was making a come back after stopping for 5 years. I didn't know they stopped and I'm pretty sure they didn't as I must've signed up at least once in the last 5 years.

Yeah they definitely didn't stop having NZ deals - perhaps they stopped having a person on the ground to source partners because it really went downhill over the last few years with fewer and fewer places offering deals.

But that's a puff piece if I've ever read one.

Note that the Coundown / Woolworths $30 eGift card can only be used instore. It can't be used as part of an online order.

In Wellington there are still enough places to make it worth your while - you need to be quick in redeeming the Woolworths eGift - I think I mucked around last time and it expired.

My one just expired from last year. I got pretty decent use out of it (Auckland central) but the main thing that helped was transferring all the places with a deal into google maps because the app sucks.

    • how do you mean transferring places to google maps? Does EB app have a function that does this and makes like a Google list in Maps?

    • +1

Yes - the app does suck - for some reason it often thinks I'm in Sydney, not just wrong city, wrong country!

    • +2

Did u manually do this? Don't suppose you'd like to publicly share map with all of these? Because you're absolutely right their map is awful

We have never failed to get our money back, especially since this is only $40 ($70 - $30 voucher which is as good as cash for us) and you are donating $14 to your place of choice, so it's kind-of only $26 (however, I ignore that, and count it as $40 myself).

Depends on who you eat out with as well, but one 25% off for a party of four, and you're pretty much there in one go - using two vouchers (two separate occasions) for us means we're up at that point.

It's not as good as it was fifteen / twenty years ago (pretty sure previously we could use it at McDonalds and Pizza Hut and places like that - I think they are gone now), but if you live in Auckland (at least), and eat out even semi-regularly, there are plenty of places you can get your money back easy enough.

If you travel around the country (or Aus) at all, which for us usually also means eating out, then the multi-city makes it a definite deal.

    YMMV of course.

Is there a limit to what value of gift cards you can buy? Cause that seems like pretty good value… https://www.entertainmentnz.com/offer-details/f3dfad7c-14f2-…

I've spent hundreds with MacPac through EB gift cards, never had an issue, its just like a normal gift card. Can use with clearance and promos no issues, nice little sweetener

We've had an EntertainmentBook for many, many years, and I had never noticed the gift vouchers offers, so thanks for pointing it out!

Might be a new thing I guess, but more likely I was just oblivious :-(

The selection isn't great, and be careful - for example, even though I am on (entertainmentNZ.com), the vouchers for Woolworths appear to be for Woolworths Australia only, but Amazon and 2Degrees (as random choices) could be useful as a bonus.

Still, worth checking - I just have to remember!

    • I take that back, now 'sold out due to popularity'

  • How do I get the bonus Woolworths e gift card? Thanks.

    • Same question, I did signup and activated the membership. Says the gift card will be sent within 30 days, not sure if anyone has received it as it would be good to know what the actual timeframe is like.

    • Did you get an email with your order confirmation that has a link to claim the gift card?

This is from the T's and C's
