What a sad state of affairs re GFX cards when $4549 is genuinely a good deal compared to the other shops hah.

even as a 4090 owner these 50xx prices at all tiers are incomprehensible, it's the worst value I've ever seen considering the price:performance ratio.

And the worst part is that people still go out and buy them, its like really are that gullible after all.

        • I don't mind if rich people wanna spend 4.5K for a GPU
esp if it subsidizes lower end cards

Give me good value in sub 1k market is all I want.

@starfishhunter9: But that's the thing, Im not sure it subsidizes anything really. It's just crazy pricing by a monopoly. Buying their cards when they are crazy expensive is just perpetuating them in power.

            • @kevin404: Yeah I mean AMD is okay now with FSR 3, etc but I take the monopoly point and not subsidising anything

I don't think higher price point cards are bad in themselves if there are good value options, which there currently isn't sadly.

No upgrade until GTA 6 on PC, probably 2027. My used 2080 can hold out!

    • My 1066 can hold out tooo

        Battle of Hastings?

    • I was surprised to find my legendary old 1080Ti could play the Battlefield 6 beta well. I was able to hit around 135FPS at 1440p with FSR on with a 5080X3D.

So, I might actually be able to holdout till next-gen now if the 5080Ti turns out to be stupidly expensive as well.

      • 5080X3D, a weapon to surpass metal gear, when nvidia and amd combine.

        • Hah, just saw the typo 5800X3D*

  • 5070 Ti deal?

There's no stock for the Gigabyte version at the moment.
Could do $1570 for the PNY VCG5070T16TFXPB1-O model though.

If geforce now gets better adoption from game producers I just can't see how these costs could ever be justified. I've recently subscribed and my mind is actually blown at how good it is. By far the main gripe is that a ton of games are missing.
