I’ve been going through the forum posts and noticed quite a few people saying the DoorDash referral offer ($15 off $20) no longer works. So I clicked through one of the referral links and checked the details myself. Here’s what I found:
Referral offer details:
"Get NZ$15 off each of your first 3 DoorDash orders over NZ$20 when you sign up on this page.
New customers only. Person who referred you must not have reached the maximum number of qualifying referrals. Final eligibility for this offer will be determined at checkout. Terms apply."
From this, it looks like the main issue is that most referral links on the Cheapies page have probably already hit the max cap — which is 5 successful referrals per account. Once that limit is reached, anyone signing up using that link won’t get the 3× $15 discount anymore, even though it still shows up on the referral page.
To keep this working for everyone, we probably need to remove links that have already hit the cap, and avoid just re-adding the same ones every 3 months when Cheapies resets the referral list.
Also, the referrer gets $45 in credits (“Give $45, Get $45”) when someone signs up. So both the referrer and the new user (referee) benefit.
But here’s the key question: Does the new referee account also get the same offer/ability, and can refer others with the same “Give $45 (3× $15), Get $45”?
If yes, then we could potentially keep the loop going by rotating fresh accounts and making sure only active, non-maxed-out referral links are used.
So — does anyone still have a working referral link with this offer that hasn’t hit the cap? Would be great to test and confirm!

Has anyone noticed Doordash no longer counting the price of the free item toward the required subtotal anymore, for the promotions where you have to spend x and get a free item?
