Didi is celebrating their launch in Wellington with a 50% off deal.
I’ve personally had a great experience with their Australian version in the past, in Brisbane, Sydney and some other places. No issues. I’m guessing most of the drivers will be from uber or doing uber at the same time. So the experience should be somewhat similar to that.
Pricing was lower than uber 100% of the time, by about 20-40%, so a further 50% off would make rides very cheap. Could possibly pair this with the referral deal too.
From 21st July, you can finally ride with DiDi in Wellington.
We’re celebrating with a massive 50% off every single ride until the 17th of August.* Yes, every. Single. One.
And that’s just the beginning, there are more exclusive deals in the DiDi app. So, make sure you have downloaded the app, buckle up, and say Yes to doing more with DiDi.

My experience with didi a couple months back - 2 drivers cancelled the ride after sitting in the same spot for 15 minutes
1 stopped at the intersection right by me for a red light but had a full car when i knocked on the window they said they would be back in just a minute (uber trip?) Proceed to drive for a further 20 minutes
Support wouldnt cancel my request without charging me because "the driver is already on there way"
After an hour of muck arounds i took uber and had no issue at all for $3 more and the car was there in less than 10 min
A different day i had two drivers cancel on me also after approx 15 min also (harbour front this time)
And a third time my scheduled ride was half an hour late
The other 4 times were fine
(All Auckland)
Wouldnt even bother with them if you even remotely value your time
