Re: eufy door bell deal at the bunnings

Anyone else had issues with picking up the doorbell from the bunnings?

I bought this door bell from the bunnings from the deal that had been previously posted on cheapies.

https://www.cheapies.nz/node/52357

I just dropped by at the bunnings and they gave me a video cam saying its the product that I ordered instead of the door bell.

They said all they can do it to give a refund.

Is there anything I can do on my end?

I feel like I have been done wrong here. They said its price error but surely they cant just shove me away when I made a purchase.

I would be greateful any word of wisdom thanks!

  • I don't understand why they say it's a price error when they offered you the incorrect product.

    • Must have been a error on the system where they placed a wrong product on the product serial number whatever online. Its like having ps5 on your invoice but they give you a ps5 controller. Gutted really.

  • I'm sorry but there's nothing u can do your going to have to move on

    • Yeah. I just got a refund and went home. It was a bloddy waste of time and they should have at least let me know earlier to save my time.

  • What exactly did they try to give to you? Perhaps it's worth more than the doorbell. If so, resell it come out smiling.

    • +2

It was a eufy cam worth 1/3 of the doorbell.

They could have at least tried to give me a refund prior to click and collect to save my time.

They just sneaked that in as if nothing happened.

  • This happened to me too. They had packed up the Solocam 210 as the click at Collect order for me at Bunnings New Lynn. I showed it to the lady at the counter and she checked for me. The barcode on my order scanned to this product but evidently the name of the product on my receipt and theirs said E340 Doorbell. Thankfully, they still had the last piece of the E340 in the locked door display case. That product scanned to be $400++.

She went and got someone, he checked around, said it was a pricing error and that someone had highlighted it to the IT team. He (decent chap) asked her to refund the initial transaction and then sell me the E340 for $164 (sale price). She scanned it and then the price showed up as $164 and she didn't have to manually correct the price.

I think it was more than a single pricing error, the barcode/SKU system on these 2 cameras were also messed up. The link on Cheapies was (that day) and still is redirecting to a search page and then it says we searched 'Eufy Security C210 Solocam' to find similar etc.
