Just got the notification in my app that weekly deals are back.
This week's deal: Choose from a Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, McChicken or Filet-O-Fish with a Small Fries, Small Soft Drink and a Cheeseburger for just $10.

interesting Ive heard the complete opposite
yes
"A big Mac is made with two 1/10th pound patties while a quarter pounder is made with 1/4th pound. Since 1/4th is greater than 2/10ths, a quarter pounder weighs more. "

I got a "The Boss" burger last week, which has two quarter pound patties, which i found surprisingly good all things considered
how much was it?, wendys 1/2 pound is $12.
McDonald's is so overpriced for what it is.
Yea damn, for the size and quality this should be like $7.50.
Vs what? Due to 23.5/h minimum wage everything is expensive in nz vs international standards.
$10 for a meal at McDonald’s isn’t that bad
and the quality of food is absolute dogshit so even $10 feels like a robbery.
Very true can get something that actually fills you up at a restaurant for not that much more like a butterchicken with rice and naan bread. Looking back though I used to pay this price for a hunger buster 15 years ago which was this meal plus a sundae.
Yeah for the money, for a quick lunch I don't mind it. Need the app though, prices are a bit silly otherwise.
Aus has higher minimum wages and penalty rates 1.5-2x pay on weekends. But has better deals.
I have been in management in Quick Service Restaurants in NZ and other places.
If you compared your local burger joint, Burger Fuel, Wendys and McDonalds. You will see McDonalds has a very high margin, they spend a huge amount on marketing and they're just as bad as supermarkets when it comes to competition. Imagine being a supplier for the veges, beef patties or buns for McDonalds.
I wouldn't say $10 dollars is bad in this climate but certainly could do better and a little overpriced. I guess if their prices are lower than any 'deals' they do will be break even or loss leading. A lunch rush for a medium sized mcdonalds location in would be looking at $10-20k Sales and evening rush $15-35k on like a Wed/Thursday.
if you are looking at what it gives you its not too bad. A quarter pounder is like 30g of protein and $10 is not a bad price to pay if you look at alternative paths to 30g of protein
True, i will still claim this deal for the wrong reasons but
A 500ml of up&go has 35grams , $5

High protein but Carbohydrate 42.50g
Sugars 33.50g
Wait until we get the Big Arch burger in NZ. It’s ginormous, recently experienced over in Europe and about twice as large as the Big Mac and so much tastier.
Anyone tried McRib yet? What's the price?
Its $9.90
Quite sure mcrib is just these pork patties and bread same as in subway

Subway ones are terrible, i believe these use pork shoulder meat.
Great price, but don’t think I can go back to the McChicken now that we have the glorious McCrispy. Guess I’m getting the quarter pounder
