Long time lurker, first post. This is too good of a deal for me to stay quiet about. Not sure why this product doesn't get talked about more to be honest.
This is a mini-itx motherboard, with a Ryzen 7945HX (a 55W TDP laptop version of the 7950X), and a heatsink all in one (37mm high). Performance is about 10-20% lower than the 7950X though at a much lower TDP. Just need to add a 120mm fan to it. I bought the Arctic P12 Max from Computer Lounge (making it ~64mm high).
It says 383 USD but when you add it to the cart it will automatically apply the code NAS30 for 30 USD off to make it 353 USD. Free shipping & no GST charge (guessing they are absorbing it?)
I bought this aa few weeks ago at $319 US and have been running it for a week now, no issues (so far)
Pros
- Cheap!!! - A 7950X or 9950X by itself already costs more than this board ($1000+)
- Fast, efficient, small, quiet. 16 cores, 32 threads up to 5.4ghz.
- PCIe 5.0x16 slot for GPU
- 2x PCIe 4.0x4 slots for nvme SSDs
- iGPU for troubleshooting without a dGPU
- 2.5Gb ethernet
- Option to add m.2 2230 key-e wifi/bt card - bought mine (intel ax210) from AliExpress along with the antennas
- Memory works at 5600MHz
- Don't have to deal with thermal paste
- Fast shipping, received in a week after they sent it (2 days). They use DHL.
Cons
- Only one front USB3 header - no type-c or usb2.0
- Fan control needs more work (only few options & three preset fan curves: quiet, standard, turbo aka noisy)
- No SATA ports - I hear you can use the m.2 ssd slots and replace them with sata ports
- Only 2xUSB3, 2xUSB2.0 and 1xUSB-C slots on the rear
- Screws aren't labelled but are separated properly
- No install guide included… had to dig my way through their websites to find it, have linked it below.
- Realtek not intel for ethernet
- Warranty/support unknown - I did email them a few times and they've responded positively though. Asked for explanation on some fan settings in the bios and got a powerpoint back explaining it. Bought it at 383 usd but then they dropped it to 319 usd before I got the product and got refunded the difference (after asking them).
- No upgrade path for CPU, it's built in.
