Is there a way to tell if a store is doing hot and spicy without going into the store?
Yeah, go to the app/website, change the store on there. If it does hot n spicy, there will be a red banner on top of the menu saying so. Quay Street Auckland is one example, they are a hot n spicy branch.
Also worth adding some chicken to your cart and clicking ‘customise’, if it has the option to change to hot n spicy on your specific order then you know they will be in stock with it.

KFC in NZ is a complete rip off.
Last time I was given 4 pieces of chicken the size of table tennis ball. I have never had this size at KFC overseas. Not sure how they are allowed to do this here.
I’m quite disappointed in their quality and with oily soggy chickens. Not sure how they are in business tbh.
Chicking is a go to place for me now and can’t wait to taste Popeyes (prices might be higher).As a former KFC go-to, Popeyes has exceeded expectations. Even my family who hated KFC like Popeyes. I now go for either Popeyes or Texas Chicken when I'm nearby

I got 3 pieces hot and spicy, and 3 pieces regular.
It does seem to depend on which branch you're at unless I'm imagining things. Ive had wildly different sized pieces of KFC and quality wirhin the same city

Which store in Hamilton would you recommend? Went to north mall today the chicken was fresh but got two wings instead of a wing and a breast, also small sizes for ever piece
Went to the same store. Three were big, two were small. There was another customer that ordered a bunch of boneless chicken, and they had to give him some wicked wings instead because they ran out.
Had this last night from the Papanui KFC. Three of the pieces were big and the other two smaller but it tasted fine.
Do they give you one of each piece? Like a breast, back, thigh, drum and wing?
It varies, so you don’t always get the same.
My wife and I both ordered Gimme 5 and they had different pieces. Mine was a combo of breast, thigh, drum and wing. Hers also a mix but different to mine although I can’t recall exactly what hers was.
