I don't know much about smart plugs apart from the very basics, never owned one before but these seemed cheap so I bought myself a few.

Work with Alexa and Google Home, just received mine this morning and have them all set up and linked with Google Home. It was pretty quick and painless; you just have to download the Tenda Beli app to set them up first.

  These look cheap but I'd really suggest if you are starting out considering something that work with home assistant just in case you decide to go further with smart home stuff. We lived with Google home for a good while but it got to the point of we had had enough of Google assistant getting worse so I grabbed a cheap old pc and set off down the rabbit hole that is home assistant. Honestly wouldn't go back now and just wish I had more time to build out routines using sensors not just ZigBee switches.

  Slowly I will phase tuya stuff out as it inevitably fails but at least with that gateway platform it does work with home assistant even if most of it is tied to their cloud platform.
