  that's a really good price for AMD R7-5800H laptop, memory could be upgraded to 16Gb (there are 2 slots on the motherboard)

    Pretty sure this model runs soldered memory so it wouldn't be user upgradeable.

    Looking at Asus page this comes with either 8 or 16 soldered ram.
    There is really no way one should settle for 8. Especially with half decent processor. Even mobile phones come with 12. The better ones that is.
    Yes it'll work but you'll regret it unless you only do the basics.

  Website says this laptop "was $1499" but on priceme it looks like the previously catalogued price from May 9th was actually $799 meaning this is a discount of $150, not $850.

  It's actually not a bad price, but it might be wise to update the page so as to avoid misleading consumers on how the discount compares to the usual price.
