I would advise looking for gumboots to buy bata gumboots that are made in nz over Chinese redbands for fashions sake.

Just make sure that your sizing is correct. I wear #12 shoes but I ordered the #11 for the gumboots because I tried them on at Mitre10 (ferrymead, CHCH) with socks and found that the #12 were too large for my feet. The #11 was about right.
