[AKL] Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA Battery 4pk $14.99 In-Store @ PAK'n SAVE, Royal Oak

Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA - 4 pack 14.99/ea

My household eats batteries. Yes Eneloop are great but some devices can't quite operate properly on the slightly lower voltage.

Usually around $25. These rarely come up for sale. I price matched at Mitre10 with 15% off, and later today JB HiFi having cleaned out Mitre 10 (local super was out of stock).

  • This only appears to be at PNS Royal Oak OP from what I can see, unless you can confirm otherwise.
I’ve amended the title to reflect this.

  • Fairly decent aa alkaline disposable bulk packs are less than 35c a battery. Do these disposable lithium batteries costing 10x price on special last 10 times as long….i guess your more paying a high premium to have the higher consistent voltage for 2-3 the time

The main advantage is they do not discharge and last many years in storage so they're actually quite a good backup for something like an emergency light etc.

I need them for my two Google Nest Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detectors. TBH haven't tried alkaline in them but they explicitly ask for lithium. I also have two rural weather stations (solar powered in the day) that need backup batteries for overnight. These mean I don't have to travel and get on the roof more than once a year or two.

      • Makes sense for those situations

      • I’ve tried normal alkaline batteries in my Nest alarms and they die within the week!

    • They last a lot better at lower temperatures so for outdoor sensors etc where normal alkalines just drop dead in a short time, these will keep going for ages.

  • Is a shame they are not rechargeable?!

It is a shame they are not a gold bar, yet here we are.
