This is advertised as “low price” but the reason I’m posting is because of the comparison - the standard Woolworths diced chicken breast, which is also a 400g tray, is also the same price at $7.95.
Unless there’s something Big Chicken isn’t telling us then it’s presumably a no brainer to choose the free range option.

Free range by it's nature is going to be more expensive because it is harder to produce.
It about the animal you are eating having some quality of life before they are culled.

How is this a deal?
It's neither the cheapest chicken, nor a significant "sale" (PNS is $18.99/1kg). This just comes down to a choice someone makes while shopping. Or are we going to start posting other moral choices options "Don't buy this, buy this!" here?

There’s an added value component (moral welfare, taste, health, whatever your view on free range) in a direct product comparison within the same retailer. Especially relevant if Woolies is your only supermarket option in a one horse town.
Again, sounds like the sort of personal choice someone makes while shopping, especially as if woolworths was your only place to shop, you wouldn't simply see it while shopping as you can't go anywhere else. Not the sort of thing that is a "deal" for a website intended to share sales/deals - in fact this isn't even a deal. This is just the normal price, so again, something people will clearly look at when they go to consider the chicken they're buying, and I think buying free range products is generally a well accepted and known better option by now.
Ethics aside, these prob taste worse as it's not fresh as the normal chicken range. Packed on date prob older

Just throwing my 10 cents in here. I agree with what others have said above re this probably not being a “deal” as such - more a personal preference. So, perhaps it would’ve been better posted in the “forums” section?? Up to mods to decide though probably &, in the meantime, no harm done!
BTW: thank you for still trying to think of others while posting, Madao. In essence, that’s what the Cheapies website is all about. Just think it may have been better posted in a different section of Cheapies, that’s all. 🧡
