Sale of last year's Samsung Galaxy!
They're the upgrades you've waited for. More screen. More battery. More processing power. There's so much more to love about Galaxy S24 and S24+.

No reason to buy at pbtech when Samsung offers briscoe like sales every month

Yeah, the Samsung online store (incl Educational / EPP) does often have deals approaching the too good to be true mark.
But some (not many these days) people prefer bricks and mortar retail.

Yeah can easily get the S25 close to $1k without trade ins ususally during Samsung Monthly/Bi monthly sales

Just wait for the Samsung deals. There is no major change between s24 and s25 so I expect lots of discounts.

There is a significant change for the base S24 to S25. Exynos processer -> Snapdragon processor. 8GB Ram -> 12GB ram. It's the ultra tier which is near identical.
But yeah, I think a combination of global economic conditions, and iPhone gaining more market share is going to mean a lot of Samsung stock and hence more sharp deals moving forwards.

For normal daily use it's not a significant upgrade, it's not like Exynos 2400 can't play all mobile games at max settings.

I paid extra over the S24 & S24+ to get the S24U with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Largely for efficiency. Have been extremely impressed in that regard. Snapdragon 8 Elite is a step up again (but note enough for me to pony up $380 for the upgrade).
In terms of value it really depends how the deals fall. if the S25 is not significantly more expensive than the S24, might as well get the S25. Last round of Samsung deals was for the S25 series phones, but yeah if sharp deals came up on the S24 it would be worth considering.

Note that the S24 & S24+ for the NZ market got the less desirable Exynos 2400 processer (S24 FE uses the Samsung Exynos 2400e). Only the S24U got the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. I think the S24 got only 8gb ram, where the higher tiers got 12gb.
S25 series gets Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and 12 GB of RAM across the board.
Would strongly suggest somebody shopping for the S24 considers the S25 instead (They have started shipping).
If we stick with pbtech, the S25 is $1,598.99, but includes a $300 PBtech voucher. If one values the voucher at 1:1 (big question), it means it is only about $150 in price difference between the phones.
