Did my daily stop in to DickSmith in Wellington Central today. They have new items added to the clearance, mostly cases, cables, laptop bags and accessories however there are some decent deals on newer phone cases.

Below are some of the better deals I spotted, there were around 4-5 pages of price changes. Most of the price tags were already out in the Wellington stores (Featherston & Manners)

Examples include:

  • Otterbox iPhone 6 Defender in Blu/Wht, Wht, Gry/Oprp all $15 (Stock codes in order PR8204, PR8206, PR8207)
  • Otterbox iPhone 6 Commuter $12
  • Invisible shield for iPhone 6+ $5
  • Belkin kindle accessory pack $15
  • Targus laptop backpacks / shoulder bags various types reduced from $60-$100 down to $15.
  • Targus geo sleeve 10" $5
  • Philips 6 way surge protector $10
  • Belkin Ultimate IT surge protectors between 1-8 outlets for $10-$40 (I believe this was the price range I may be slightly out)
  • CaseMate iPhone 6 Tough Case for $10
  • DishTV Satellite receiver $50
  • Some UHF aerials also appeared to have heavy discounts.
  • Apple ipad smart cases (Selected styles) discounted from $5 to $2.

If you can find any anywhere the clearance kindles from a few weeks ago all seem to have reduced in price again by $10-$20. Managed to get a Kindle Fire 7" HDX for $90 today.

Remember the stock is CLEARANCE, not every store will have stock so don't expect to be able to grab it all. Also, if you ask nicely for the stock list they may provide it for you to look over however YMMV.

I managed to have a look at todays one - I don't take photos of them even though I have had the opportunity due to store managers getting in trouble for allowing people to, they have gone out of their way for me so I don't want to get them in trouble.

      Not nearly as deep discounts as the other week and much less discounted. No further discounts to TVs, home theater, printers, audio etc.

      Mostly just cases, cables and accessories. Still worth a look in especially if you're after a cheap relatively quality laptop bag.

          If I needed one I saw some pretty good looking ones for $15. This was in Manners, they're on the wall on the left of the store behind the counter island if you're Wellington based.

    Was in Botany 20 minutes ago, warning to all: The amount of people who find it necessary to reverse park and drive extremely slow was not worth the trip to the store for me. When I finally got into the store: KIDS, KIDS EVERYWHERE!

    I spotted a copy of Guitar Hero 5 on PS2 @ Botany.
    I also see a receipt sitting on the counter from 8pm last night, staff cash sale for a $93 40inch TV and $99 Ipad… hmm?

      I don't believe any of them were on any further clearance today (I could be wrong) so I guess they had held back the stock from a few weeks ago.

          Staff are definitely holding stuff there. Went in to ask about cameras and a few DSLRs are still in stock, but held for staff out back…

      I was in Botany Downs too…. took ages stuck in traffic to get out of the place, then took ages again queuing to get cheap petrol….. ho ho ho

    Not as good as the other $5 charger deal, but still a pretty decent deal for a 2.4 Amp wall charger. Includes a lightning cable as well. $5 down from $45 (overpriced).

    Managed to pick up a display Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 2014 model for $100 at Takapuna DickSmith this afternoon.

    Still some deals to be had if you know what to look out for!

        Saw your printer today! Well I assume one of the two on the shelf with receipts taped to them was yours.

        On Thursday when I got Johnsonville store in Wellington to look up national stock there was 1 at a few stores in Auckland (will be display models) but can't remember specifically which ones sorry!

          I decided last week when I found out the Note tablets were still around that if I found one I'd replace the kindle fire I got for myself then sell the fire to cover cost.

          Wellington based, just in Auckland for weekend. Off to Christchurch this week too but not planning on going to any stores down there!

    The manners st store as of 9.30am this morning had one 4GB xbox360 console for $99 and two 250GB slim consoles for $199. They are stacked in centre of aisle near tills.
