Given you still need FF glass on this, and of a particular level to be able to user the AF benefits, it’s an expensive hobby.
If you are referring to the A7mk3, I used to have it. While it was good when it was released, it is severely outdated and overpriced now(even if buying second hand). People are still buying it mostly based on instagram/youtube reviews.
Old M3 is something like $2500 minus 10% so pretty good at around $2250.

I bought an amplifier from the Sony online store. It came with a 60 day (or was it 30?) no questions asked return policy which they honoured, and were awesome about accepting back. Do you know if you camera came with something similar? Also can't hurt to ask them if not, i found the customer service to be top notch.

I upgraded from the A7 OG to A7III and it was amazing.(For a week)
The A7IV will be a smaller upgrade but worth the $500 or so extra cost, especially after GST and business tax savings, it's not a lot.
@turtleattacks: You can only adapt canon EF(old DSLR mount) lenses to Sony E mount. Not possible to adapt the R mount to Sony E mount.

They should honour, one of their staff even offered me to visit sylvia park store by 9pm to get same price. But I am thinking of settling on nikon z5 now as sony might be a bit too much for my requirements.
