Personally, I think this is too pricey and not worth it.

12.3' is so tiny. Maybe I'm used to ultra-wide curve screens at 8K resolution, but still even my laptop at 16' is much better than 12.3'. You'd be struggling to use this for work because it's so tiny. Even my Lenovo tablet is 12.7' and bigger than this.

FHD is terrible in this day and age. It's 2024 come on.

Hardware specs MEH. I had a Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 brand new with much better specs for ~$1400 from Lenovo direct. It's really slim and light. Sure it's not detachable, but who cares.

Detachable hybrids are a gimmick. How often does one need to do that? I'm assuming you'd be using this mostly to draw stuff on it. But laptops like this generally don't have good touch support and so this isn't ideal if you're trying to use this as a graphics designer. You'd be better off getting drawing tablets instead.

3 year warranty is pointless. 99% of the time tech gadgets don't require warranty. People who pay for warranty or extended warranty are just paranoid. I own probably over $60K worth of tech and a lot of them are 2nd hand and still lasts to this day. Some of my stuff are from 15+ years ago and still work fine.

There's some guy selling a GTX 4090 laptop with 32GB RAM and top of the line AMD CPU etc, for about $1000 on Facebook Marketplace. I'd rather take a gamble and get that instead.

    • This is a work device so the 3y warranty is normal not paranoid as the CGA does not apply for business/trade purchases and its guaranteed service with on-site convenience when things do go wrong.

bit older device with an 11th gen so there is that.

      • I've only commented on the 3yr warranty because it's listed as one of the selling points. But sounds like it's more of a filler to make this look better than it is.

Having worked in IT for over 15 years and having owned very expensive items and a lot of 2nd hand tech gadgets over the years, I've NEVER once in my life claimed warranty. The only warranty I claimed was a 2nd hand PSP that was still under warranty and I intentionally software bricked it in order to get a brand new free replacement (I was like 10 when I did that). Oh and the fuse on my rice cooker had some issues and so I got a replacement for that too.

None of the 10~15 laptops and 10 phones that are sitting in my container storage have issues.

And generally speaking, the ratio of the number of devices sold in the world VS the warranty claims on the device is just far too low. If this isn't true, then everyone would be claiming warranty every other week, because their devices would be so crap that they'd just break. And companies wouldn't be selling warranty service if it wasn't profitable.

In conclusion, warranties are pointless and this is designed for gullible people.
