  • Cheers. Booked my tickets for Rsro.

Are they Boeing planes? Not worth it these days if it’s them…

  • @beatthatflight In your experience, do you think it'd be risky to just book a one way ticket (CHC-GC) on 7 Sept in the hope that there'll be some more sales in the next couple of months to have a cheaper flight on the way back? Or is $342 (17 Sept return flight) pretty reasonable these days?

My first thought was 'uhoh, school holidays', but looks like that's still during term time in NZ, NSW and QLD, so…you might be ok. There'll certainly be more sales before then, but frankly $342 is a very good price post-covid, so far.

      • Thanks for the response! I’ve realised my $342 statement may have been confusing (or it might not be and it is just normal pricing post covid). 169 for the way over, 342 for the flight back. So just double checking if 342 is normal or if waiting for the next sale could pay off (obviously no guarantees and prices could go up too!

ohhh. yeah I'd wait a bit - maybe a couple of months, I reckon, before that period goes on sale. Unless there's some event that week pushing prices up, but not that I can see.
Example: https://www.beatthatflight.com.au/index.php/2024/03/16/jetst… - there are currently $190 one way flights from GC to CHC in April, so hopefully similar will appear.
