Sanitarium Up & Go Liquid Breakfast 250ml 6 Pack $7.79 @ PAK’n SAVE North Island Stores

140

Slightly more than previous deal: https://www.cheapies.nz/node/43716 but 30c increase may be acceptable considering inflation.
All I can see is North Island PAK’n SAVE. Tried Queenstown, Ricarton and Dunedin, all showing $10.45.

There are other flavours:
Vanilla
Strawberry
Banana (new one?)
Choc (no sugar)
Choc protein

Could price match in-store at The Warehouse if you can be bothered.

The Warehouse link:
Choc
Vanilla

No disrespect to OP but when are we going to stop making excuses for price rises - "30c increase may be acceptable considering inflation".

This product is 1.5l of Sanitarium Up & Go primarily consisting of water, milk powder, wheat, corn and sugar and we're happy when the price is reduced from $10.45 to $7.79. This used to be considered junk food yet now costs more than pure fruit juice $/l. The margins for this product, in my estimation, must be so large; 30c is just extra profit for the sellers and nothing more.

Not to mention you used to be able to buy 1L cartons for like $3.

This is just milk with added thickener, the way they market it to very dense consumers as a health product is super misleading and downright scumbag behaviour, exactly as you'd expect for a multimillion $ company who some how is registered as a charity and pays no tax.

Stop supporting these evil (profanity) and stop force feeding their poison to your kids.

      5 Star "Health Star" rating.

      • +1

The Health Star rating only compares how healthy a product is compared to others in the same category.
It’s a marketers dream but certainly a misleading stat.

    • Why are they specifically evil exactly?

Throwback to the real deal! Any Ferror Rocher deals recently btw? haha

Sheesh, who knew flavoured milk could cause such a kerfuffle.

Cheers for the post OP, choc protein is my jam.

Geez feels like everyone is on the edge with the cost of living crisis. Let people pick and choose, no one's forcing anyone to buy anything.

Appreciate the post OP, no longer have them now but back in the days these were my go to portable source of protein.

I find the chocolate protein ones the perfect pre gym energy boost. At this price they're pretty similar to what a scoop of protein costs. They shouldn't be considered a health food but as a source of protein and carbs before a decent workout/exercise.

    Thanks OP!
