I got asked to re-do the prices for the Japan deal as it's been a while and the sale appears back on!

Fiji Airways flights includes stops in Nadi, which if you plan it right could get you an overnight, or at least a few hours at a pool/beach. Jetstar is via Aus, when that's cheapest.

I've included the more expensive samples below as well so you can see what months the prices start to dip for each route.

      Thank you! Possibly, I just hadn't had a chance to do a proper check during the day. I'll run my scripts overnight tonight and see what it finds :) For now I just did one to confirm that the cheap prices exist.

    Just back from Tokyo to Chc with Fiji Airways

    I don't think I will do it again as the long layover and you need to take your luggage and recheck in for each flight, also you need to spend 2additonal nights in Nadi which aren't cheap. Those are the hidden costs and so I will choose something else if I can

      That wasn't our experience. Had a 2hr stop over on the way to Tokyo and then 24hr, single night in Fiji.

        From chc? I think it's much shorter from Akl to Tokyo but not from Chc

          That was from Auckland both ways. Chch must be different in how often they have flights, which would affect the stopover time.

      definitely depends on the day and ticket. Some are far shorter stopovers.

      hmm, at moment Feb to June is very well priced. However the big íssue with European tickets is the Olympics in July/August probably affecting a lot of travel and flights. Best I can suggest is signing up to my email and you'll get a notification if I see a sale!

        Yeah i checked the third party sites really scam you directly with fiji airways its $25 each way for a bagged luggage and with some of the other sites it was $157 each way

          Yeah, you can see in the Fiji airways app that it only cost $2,070. So I gave $400 to "my trip" for nothing. Not happy about it but my mistake as I thought id checked but I failed to scroll down the page far enough….

      You mean to make the tables? I used to do it manually, one date at a time, but obviously that gets unwieldy. So I wrote a python script that now does it for me, but it's essentially replicating a user's movements in the browser with the selenium library. So the tables above took the entire night to generate. :/
