May not be relevant to you (depending on location), but Costco in AKL has the XR65X90L for $2099.99 on special this weekend till 26/11. Even spending the $60 membership fee you're still ahead. Havent tried pricematching against costco either. Good luck!
I've managed to do a price match against Costco before with Sony. Last time I had to send a pic of the tv price though.

I havn't tried it personally.

However on the Sony store if you register for a new MySony account (with an email address not before used), you get emailed a unique 10% off voucher code. Be sure to tick the second check box when signing up, in order to receive the code. Mine did take 15 mins or so to come through
Bought a 65 Sony after waiting for 'the market' to have a 10% off code and Noel leeming had it for a 'hot price' .
Not sure if the market gives those 10% off offers anymore. Other cheapies surely know
