You know, it's not that common that one of the cheapest places to fly out of New Zealand to an Asian destination is Queenstown. Yet that's the situation we find ourselves in here, and the last time it happened was also to Vietnam, go figure!!
Anyway, Vietnam is on the menu. Flights are with a variety of airlines - from AKL it's Air China for that price, Chch and Queenstown are Jetstar, and Wellington is a combination of Scoot/Vietjet, so I've included it, but it's arguably cheaper to fly to AKL/ZQN and get one of their flights.
