The one I posted seems to have foam padding all around and looks to be more protective of your head.
That one doesn't have MIPS.
i am guessing the difference would be cooling and ventilation? your head might get too hot wearing the moto helmet and pedalling uphill.
Main reason for the cost of these helmets is because of the r&d spent creating the best possible experience for riders.
That one linked looks like a Motocross helmet, not mountain biking. Very heavy (over double the weight) and hot.
These are great helmets, they're the lightest full face helmet with mips. They're also this price at a a few retailers (Mud Cycles, Flowtech Bikes if you're in Wellington) they must be bringing out some new ones next year for so many retailers selling them all at similar price.

The Dainese Linea 01 is lighter if anyone cares about 30g. But 170 odd bucks is a hell of a deal for the IXS.
