  • Does this cover education store purchases?

      No

Purchases made on a Corporate Employee Purchase Program or with education or business loyalty pricing do not qualify.

  • I don’t suggest you get the Apple Store gift card. It very hard to use on Apple online store. Please see my Apple gift card from last year Black Friday sale. I am still selling it on TradeMe. Link: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/mobile-phones/mobile…

I wanted to use the $45 Apple gift card to buy Apple care+. They told me that I couldn’t. Finally I paid by credit card for the Apple care. Next time, I would rather spend a little more to buy Apple products in a 3rd party but keep my cash. FYI.

    • So this ‘gift card’ they give you, can only be used to buy more apple hardware on a future purchase? Sounds like this almost benefits apple more than the end user.

      • Apple Store Gift Cards cannot used for purchases at or for: iTunes, the App Store, the Mac App Store, the iBooks Store, additional Apple Store Gift Cards, payment to any account of any mobile phone contracts or service plans, purchases at Apple resellers, or any payment due under an Apple Financial Services account.

        • Thanks, almost sounds like a waste of time. I’m looking to replace my old XR with a 13 or 14 256gb.

          • @Joshyss: I'd look at Trade Me personally

Do I still get gift card if buy some apple hardware with gift card + cash?

      • I was able to do that last year. Got an iPhone which gave me a gift card, used that gift card on airpods which also gave me a gift card. I've only jsut used the gift card last month on airpods for myself as the previous purchase was a present.

  • You have to use the Apple Store Gift card to buy Apple hardware @Apple online store at full price. They try to lock your money in.

  • Airpoints mall is offering $2 per $100 spend, so you can stack this too.
