Don’t forget the $10 off $50 codes for ordering online.

  • I'm not a cook and don't really know much about kitchenware. Can someone explain why this is a 9 piece set, even though the description in the link shows it's a 6 piece set? The photos only show 6 pieces as well.

I couldn't find this being sold elsewhere, so I have no idea if $299 for this is considered cheap or not. Briscoes have always been known to jack up their prices before a sale and I doubt this is really worth $849 normal retail price.

    • Its a 6pc + 3 lids = 9. Bit cheeky as not many other brands include the lids in the piece count!

      • Yeah, that's what I figured.

Kinda dumb because pans normally come with lids anyway.

    • It’s a bit of dodgy marketing but essentially the lids count as pieces

I bought this a few months ago. Saucepans are tiny. Pans seem to stick. I have plenty of other Kitchenaid items but quite disappointed with these

  • While flatting I bought a set of pots with glass lids. After some time the lid handles became sooo loose (even after tightening again and again) and lids became overall pretty ratty I decided to splash out on some high quality pots with stainless steel lids. I have not looked back. I have no question they will outlast me.

  • $300? Does that come with a private chef or something?

Considering this is Briscoes, isn't this normal price for this item?

  • Kitchenaid and Cuisinart are pretty solid brands when it comes to cookware, these bundles often psych me out because they tend to put worse products in them, but i have owned a few utensils and pots which i bought individually and they are really robust and cook well.

Would definitely take this over a cheaper brand. this is a good deal for someone who maybe just moved into a new flat.

Personally I would avoid anything with non-stick coating.

Cast iron and mild steel, and learn how to treat them. Teflon is horrendous.

We migrated from non stick though very few situations non stick is ok but 99 % of our cooking now we do either in cast iron / prefered , carbon steel for work, stainless steel pots and pans from Kmart .

Cast iron is good to use as we don't eat a lot of meat and iron is released at cooking . Cast iron also forms non stick coating as we use the cook ware .

Cast iron lasts very long time
