FYI
Saw this on HUKD and see it has now been posted on OzB
No idea on what the new prices for NZ are but I presume it could be significant based off other countries.
From September 6, Sony will increase the price for 12 months of PlayStation Plus
| PS Plus Essential 12 Month | Current | New |
|---|---|---|
| USD | $59.99 | $79.99 |
| GBP | £49.99 | £59.99 |
| Euro | €59.99 | €71.99 |
| PS Plus Extra 12 Month | Current | New |
|---|---|---|
| USD | $99.99 | $134.99 |
| GBP | £83.99 | £99.99 |
| Euro | €99.99 | €125.99 |
| PS Plus Premium 12 Month | Current | New |
|---|---|---|
| USD | $119.99 | $159.99 |
| GBP | £99.99 | £119.99 |
| Euro | €119.99 | €151.99 |
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony issued a brief statement explaining the significant price hike: “This price adjustment will enable us to continue bringing high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription service.”

I contacted the NZ ps store support and these are the new prices I was told:
12 month:
Essential - $126.95
Extra - $223.95
Deluxe - $250.95
These are (profanity) massive increases, even more then the comparative USD/AUD increases. And even with the 25% Black Friday discount, it would still end up more than the current non-discounted price. I regret not stocking up 10+ years with the various tricks at the last discount.
Not only that! The support staff let me know the 1-month and 3-month prices ARE ALSO GOING UP!
1-month:
Essential - $15.95
Extra - $24.95
Deluxe - $27.95
3-month:
Essential - $43.95
Extra - $70.95
Deluxe - $82.95
Insane greed. Interesting response to Starfield release day and Microsoft buying Activision Blizzard lmao.
