Can anyone recommend a best place for tow bar fitting in Christchurch? I found this on GrabOne, $379 is it a sharp price? Price doesn't include wiring or wiring kits cost, how do I know if my car need a wiring kits? Cheers

Yeah i checked with them too bad they don't open on Saturday. I guess even the Grabone deal end i can still try to get them to price match?
All cars will need a wiring kit, unless you had a towbar installed before and it was left there. It's optional I guess because some might like to do it themselves.
For me I just got my local usual mechanic to install the towbar I purchased.
Can't recall cost but wouldn't have been that much. Probably an hour labour charge. Even if 2 hours it would have been around $200
That's going to depend wildly on your vehicle though. Some require a lot more work. The $349 price seems expensive, but I guess they win on most, and lose a bit on the really tricky ones.
Can you share where did you purchased your towbar please?
I can recommend Towbar Express in Chch - got mine done last year for $500 including wiring kit. I would suggest avoiding the Grabone deal and go to them directly (just ask them to match the pricing).
Unfortunately they couldn't get it done on the same day (something unique about my vehicle) so they ended up having to make a custom towbar & didn't charge me any extra.
