Star Citizen are doing yet another free-fly event for you to try out the game and see the progress they are making.

As part of this years free fly event you can try out any of the selected 12 highly detailed ships in the game absolutely free.

If you enjoy the experience and decide to buy the game (~$40USD) before the promotion ends, by signing up through this referral link both the referrer and the referee will receive a free STV buggy to their account worth $40 USD. The referee will also receive an additional bonus of 5000 UEC (In-game currency) bound to their account for signing up through a referral link.

Once you have bought the game there are no monthly subscriptions needed, but be aware that this game is not yet complete and is still very much in development so there will be bugs, and your enjoyment of it will depend on your tolerance for them.

    I knew it was a bit of a con ever since he made his (whilst hiding their personal relationship) wife, an ex-tickle porn star "Sandi Gardiner", the "VP of Marketing" so he could funnel tons of donation money into his own pockets - then they proceeded to ban everyone who even questioned her background from the forums and blame it on misogyny rather than sensible questioning of ethics.

    Sad tbh, because I loved Freelancer and Wing Commander and hoped to see this project would be more than a travel expense fund for Chris Roberts and his family.
