50% off Motomix 2 Stroke Fuel When You Bring Old Bottle of 2 Stroke Fuel: 1L $9, 5L $27.50 @ Stihl

20

Saw this in today's paper and it's not a bad deal.

Normally $18 for 1L and $55 for 5L. Stihl.

Bunnings has 1L Castrol for $12.
Mitre10 has 1L from $17.88.

I don't know enough about 2 stroke fuel to know the difference between Motomix and other brands.

I think this is a national deal. The Post has Porirua, Upper Hutt and Petone listed on the ad. Can only see a mention on Porirua's FB page. Best to maybe call up to see if they are running this promo at your local.

Looks like it might be premixed fuel…but I'm not sure who would pay the normal price of $18 / litre for the small container? So I'm slightly confused

Yeah it took a second look but you're right, it looks like extremely overpriced premixed fuel, not 2 stroke oil. So the Bunnings and Mitre10 Castrol pricing is irrelevant.

  • Got the 5 L with my chainsaw for free and yes at more than four times the price of a your own two-stroke mix makes it very expensive ,advantage is long storage life and a bonus 5 L petrol container. At half price still too expensive unless you factor in the $15.00 5 L fuel container if you needed one.

  • I use this for my chainsaw which is specifically mixed for Stihl chainsaws. It has a shelf life of 2 years and doesn't stuff your saw when it's been sitting unused for a while.
Sure it's expensive but a 5lt lasts me 6 months.
