It has been slightly lower before for the RTX 4080 - but this SG version is actually an OC version with a higher clock speed. Free Diablo IV game too as a bonus…

I have not used GALAX myself but in general, from what I hear their built quality is good, especially since this particular variant is not your usual cheapest/lowest model in a brand's line-up making it appealing.
It is said that GALAX ranks below Asus/MSI/Gigabyte, head-to-head with Colourful/ZOTAC, and above the likes of Inno3D/Gainward/Maxsun etc.
I saw the link you posted before too….I think it is the same model but I can't be certain…would anyone be able to confirm? :D

From the link:
Instead, the OC team used a more ‘budget’ Galax RTX 4080 Serious Gamer (SG) 1-Click OC edition.

Galax GPUs are good but my only problem is - their warranty period is 2 years and not 3 years like others - ASUS, Gigabyte, Zotac, MSI, PowerColor, EVGA and few others.. Hence why I too also avoid Palit/XFX/Sapphire/Asrock if I can

Agreed, I got the Zotac RTX4080 for $1900 from CL for this reason.

I have a Zotac 3080 Still going strong no real concerns with quality.
The fan bearings did start to go bad and figured ill custom loop now it oc's really well.- 1

After how long? Sounds like you could have just RMA'd it?

@Jexla: Most cards have to go back to Taiwan for warranty.
Not worth having it gone for any lenght of time and Custom loop would be quieter anyway.- 1

haha I simply don't like the looks of ZOTAC cards….lol even Inno3D looks better… :D

I just came here to say that, at least in NZ, manufacturer and extended warranties are a bit of a scam - it has to have a warranty by law, for a reasonable period of time. I don't think anyone expects a $1800 graphics card to die within 3 years, so you'd be covered by the consumer guarantee act, and PBTech as the seller (not the manufacturer) will need to resolve.
Of course, it usually means speaking to a manager and showing them the law, as most don't seem to know this. Usually works like a charm though.
See consumer guarantee act here:

Yes, but that's one less thing I have to deal with. Manufacturer warranties are also a good indicator of a companies belief in their products.

Anyone got any experience with Galax's build quality, customer support etc?
Add an LN2 pot and it seems to work well… https://www.tomshardware.com/news/galax-rtx-4080-overclock-w…
