Panasonic TH-65LX650Z 65" 4K Smart LED TV $999 + $89 Shipping / $0 CC @ Noel Leeming

60

This is the lowest price ever for this TV according to PriceSpy https://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=7266551#statistics

Also seems to be the cheapest 65" TV on PriceSpy but I don't think they seem to track Kogan/Veon etc or perhaps my filters are too narrow.

Seems like a great deal for a branded TV, but awaiting feedback from the expert cheapies on what I might have missed!

If you are a Costco member, they might have a better pricing on that. I can't remember which Panasonic TV that they have but they had offer that you can get a 32" Panasonic TV when you purchase 65" TV. I'll add that when I go there or find that photo.

Based on the Costco fb group, this TV was $1399 as of 4 days ago.

They seem to run a free 32" TV with purchase deal periodically. The most recent was "Purchase a Panasonic 75" 4K TV Get a Panasonic 32" HD TV FREE ‼️ Valid to 21st February 2023 or while stocks last."

Might be a price error? 55" is the same price.

As far as I know this is the follow up to jx600 which was a travesty from panasonic last year.

Good price but plug a chromecast and better speakers into it.

So what's the vibe on this one? - Is there an obvious catch with this TV, as in Crap sound, Crap picture, Poor connectivity, Slow UI OS etc?

    Would anyone recommend?

Save your money unless you dont care about a decent picture quality .

      • Are there any TVs in this ballpark you'd recommend?

        • +2

I recommend buying any used Oled or MiniLed instead of these; after seeing real quality I cannot recommend any other TV panel.

        • Your choices are philips tcl or hisense a lil more you pay but its worth it .

Ughhh I'd stay away from this TV. Cousin have the same model and cry's everytime turns on TV. So much lag between remote button push and response. Feels like Windows 98 is much faster than the TV UI. TV glitch sometimes and picture quality tuned shit in 4 months. Got it replaced under warranty but the replacement isn't any better but the same.

I used to install TV's and the old version of this pana jx600-700 were just awful.

Their demo models struggle to run the demo videos in stores, the remote is garbage, it's so so slow and the only 'improvements' are things like volume profiles and that ui is awful and slow. Imagine a tv that has difficulty changing the volume.

If it had a big 'google tv on/off' toggle when you plug it in first it'd be better

Awful rebrand, clients would buy because of brand loyalty and be thoroughly disappointed

Cant comment on this particular TV but I’ve had Panasonic replace a 55” LED tv that was 3 years old for a brand new after it randomly died one day. Brand new replacement, I thought that was great. This was maybe 12 months before covid came around. Repair agent told me if it were any other brand I would have had nothing.

        • Pana are pretty good tbh. I think they have a pretty well earned reputation for longevity & quality. Our TV is a 50" pana with thousands of hours on the panel (ex store stock) … and it's fantastic.. So it felt mighty weird to see the worst of the tvs that NL sold have a pana logo on them.

In 2021/2022 etc the models that they put their own software on were just solid tvs

  • Smiths will price match if you have one in your area and are after airpoints instead of fly buys.
