        Because they have an (inferior) existing promotion.
        Their "price promise" is a scam with endless technicalities they can call upon when they feel the need

          The item just needs to be the same model and in stock at both stores. This is easy to establish because you can look at the Mitre 10 website.

          The price match can't be combined with an existing warehouse promotion (like a bundle deal for example). But that's not a problem, just tell them you want the price match instead of their promotion.

          If you're doing it online via chat and they come up with a bullshit reason for not price matching.just quit the chat and ask a different assistant.

      Warehouse should have matched Mitre10 price. They no longer price beat though, so you're better off going to Briscoes to get 10% price beat.

  Is it just me or have their storage bins declined in quality? I'm sure they used to be a bit more robust.

  I think their Ultra, Brilliance and insulated bottles are their best lines these days.

  Spotlight does a 10% Price Promise too on Sistem (usually have to explain it to the check out person though as I have done the past several times - I don't think they get Price Promised very often - well except by me)

  Great deal. Went into briscoes. Total was ~$180 reduced to ~$50. Now I'm printing out all the labels on my cheapies ptouch label maker ;-)
