Those who hasn't yet - switch to safety razors. So much cleaner and smoother shave, and for 28 bucks you would probably get a 2 year worth supply of blades (granted you re-use them 1-2 times, which I do).

This safety razor one from CaliWoods isn't an international known brand or anything but was pretty good.

Just take your time, like really slow down the process until you're comfortable with it.I've looked at a few reviews and got Muhle R 89. It's the only one I have so I can't comment on the others but had no issues with it except that I would go for much grippier handle next time (mine is smooth black, it can be slippery)
Dont u normally get a lot of cuts using those razors?
MUCH less than with gilette. I used to have acne and feared that it wouldn't be great using safety razor, but boy I was wrong. It takes time getting used to it though. Everything is times more important - pressure, angle, speed. Don't bother with "special" lather though - I use whatever regular shaving gel I find that smells better and lubricates enough. Probably room for improvement :)
Sounds good, i remember my dad used using these kind of razors back in the 80s. Now these are called safety razors, i wonder if these are special razors or the same old skool razors

Agree it's not necessarily for everyone, but I've never gone back.
100 blades for $30 is worth the extra fiddly time around the nose etc.Think I'm too impatient eh. Rather get the job over and done with.
What head plate number do you use?
I use a number 3 and have the gun metal style. Same blades.
