$5 Wallet Credit for Completing 3 Question Survey @ Dosh

150

Received an email from Dosh:

"We would love to hear what you think and what's stopping you from using Dosh.
Your feedback will help us refine our product offering.
Just click on the little survey box below and answer 3 short questions and we can work it out 😊
As a way of saying thanks we will Dosh you $5 once the feedback survey closes 29th Jan 23"

Survey is linked.

At the end of the survey it asks for your Dosh account details to apply the $5, so I'm not sure how targeted it is.

    So whats Dosh?

    • +1
      • I clicked that link and I got a whole heap of buzzwords and ideals but no actual explanation of what it is.

I now know who the founders are, though, of this…product.

        • This might be more useful then.

Dosh allows users to instantly pay or be paid for transactions under $500. Currently users can upload up to $1000 onto their dosh wallet and pay businesses via a QR code or via the app. These maximum values will be increased as demand required it. The payment option is perfect for retailers, mobile tradespeople, food delivery and events business.

For any business that needs instant, small payments in a person-to-person environment – Dosh is perfect combination of instant, contactless and safe.

Dosh works with all the major banks including BNZ, ASB, Westpac, ANZ, TSB and Kiwibank, and is a registered Financial Services provider, overseen by the Department of Internal Affairs.

“Dosh removes a whole world of pain from banking,” says co-founder James McEniery. “Payments are instant - so no more waiting a day or two to see if your funds have cleared. It’s easy - no need to try and remember your 16 digit bank account number or mobile numbers. And it’s safe - you see the money in your account instantly and can transfer it back to your NZ bank account whenever you like.”

It’s also cheaper for businesses. “Merchant fees are a major source of frustration for business owners. Dosh significantly reduces the cost of merchant payments and provides secure, instant results for hardworking Kiwi businesses,” he says.

You can register for a Dosh Business account online at www.dosh.nz. Consumers can also download the app from Google Play or App store.

          C&p from Geekzone

    • In simple terms, a prepaid credit card with 1% cashback currently.

      • Wait, so what's its purpose? Isn't a prepaid credit card just a debit card?

And don't some of the banks offer credit cards with cashbacks without having to move money around?

        • While using you need to select credit card rather than debit which means higher surcharge depending on the merchant. Some don't accept credit cards which means you can't use dosh.

While applying this it doesn't hit your credit history as it's prepay.

Yes, but you're not going to find a 1% reward card with no annual fee elsewhere

          • @36wish: Yeah, the only thing that comes close to it is SBS free credit card, with 0.67% Cashback only ($1 for $150 spend).

Sucks to be in NZ in terms of the limited perks we get with Visa/Mastercard.

            • @fretrunner11: TSB Bank’s platinum card offer $1 cashback for every $70 spend

  • waiting for $10 signup bonus before i sign up

  • Dosh does sound appealing with their Dosh card with no fees and 1% cash back offer. Might be a good alternative to move away from major banks credit cards which have recently taken a big hit with low points and high fees.

Possibly targeted? Didn't receive anything :(

    • Ýou could try the link anyway, and see how you get on. It asks for your details linked to your Dosh account at the end of the survey.

      • Ohhh the survey didn't pop up when I clicked it initially, popped up when I tried again, thank you :)

        • Yes popped up on the second time for me too. Thanks OP!

  • Hopefully they don't mind paying for everyone that completes it, because from the first question, I can tell it's not for me.

    • +2

I think this was intended for people who registered but didn't use it.

      • Yeah that's pretty apparent from the questions

  • I like this idea. It's already popular overseas eliminating the need to use card & can just scan qr code or use mobile number for instant payments. I wish more consumers/businesses start using it.

  • I'm just worried that Dosh would eventually go bankrupt from giving free $5 referrals, cash back, surveys, etc. What'd happen if they really do? I heard some rumours about the company only having like $3m of financial investment…

    • +1

I'm worried they are at a deficit too. But not worried about going bankrupt, just that they will cut off all the benefits(1% cashback) once they get enough users.
Your money is safe as it is held by a 3rd party nz bank. They can't use your money to invest/attract new customers as that would just be a ponzi scheme.

Just received the $5 credit today

I didn't get the targeted email, only filled out through this link :)

  • I just got the $5 today as well.
