  I got a cube recently too and I'd highly recommend watching J Perm on Youtube. Has a good tutorial on solving it :)

    I second this. My kids used j perm vids to learn to solve his 3x3 cube. He's got rubik's cube, speed cube from $2 shop and a magnetic cude as well. Now He's working on 4x4, which seems to be quite challenging. He's just turned 10yr.
