  • Thanks OP, always wanted to do this cert. Booked for mid-March 2023 with no issues to give me time to revise.

What’s the level of difficulty in this? Has anyone done it before?

    • professional exams are usually 3 years of experience. Someone in my team studied and passed 2 pro certs in one year.

Under the recommended training prior to sitting this exam you have to sit "VMware Cloud on AWS: Deploy, Configure, Manage 2021" On Demand or Intructor led class which costs quite a bit. Anyone know if this is a key pre-requisite?

  • I'm curious, for those using VMWare on Public Cloud is it essentially just wanting to keep the same set of management tooling in a hybrid setup, rather than use the native AWS/Azure/etc services?

From a strategic cost management standpoint, I'd probably be looking to see options for shifting away from the VMWare stack (despite how good the technology can be), due to Broadcom signalling post-acqusition they essentially intend to hike prices of licenses knowing that most large organisations would take years and years to move away from it so are highly locked in and would have to pay up.

I know most people are only looking at deals from a personal rather than business perspective but with interest in this deal post I imagine some are at least across the operating costs of this stack.

  • have just tried this. unfortunately the Code has reached its use limit so you get an error when adding the code at checkout. Likely because it is an international deal. Looks to have been live for 4 days and all used up now.

  • dam it!!
