@Teckiwi: The code appears for a split second when you click apply, it's as if the browser itself is entering the code and clicking on the apply button. If you have used POLi to pay for stuff then you'll know how the browser quite literally takes full control of navigating through your bank's website.
You might have a better chance of getting one of these deals if you regularly clear your browser's cookies. I was lucky enough to catch the code but you can always improvise e.g. point your phone's camera at the monitor, or use software like Nvidia's Shadowplay.
I got this a few days ago as well though it was for 7% off, unfortunately I can't seem to replicate it.
