        Wow they're discounting it all over the place now, that's a big drop in Aussie with $700 off! Ran this through https://www.customs.govt.nz/personal/duty-and-gst/whats-my-d… for interest's sake - I get $472ish so that HN deal really holds up.

          @Aerol: I think Wakrak's $3,041.46 already includes GST.

          The Amazon price is $2699 AUD. If you put it in your cart then it reduces it to $2453.64 AUD (takes 10% off as that is the AU GST rate). Then it says delivery is $7.31 AUD and import fees (NZ GST) is $369.14 (15% of $2453.64+$7.31).

          So $2,830.09 AUD. With current exchange rates and CC foreign exchange fees then probably just under $3,100 NZD delivered.

          The what's my duty thing says there's no duty, just GST on cameras.

            @Stoic: Oh yeah good point, Amazon AU you pay the GST upfront and yes no duty. Just giving up certainty over local support and warranty.

  Photowarehouse via duty free is the best hack for buying expensive cameras. I've made a few purchases here.

  Also worth noting, GST is 15% and they will give you 13% off when you buy duty free, so 2% admin fee is pretty reasonable. PB Tech on the other hand only pass on 8.7% of the tax savings, choosing to keep the rest as a 'fee' - bit too much if you ask me.
