  OMG, I'm so looking forward for my first espresso machine.
  I was more into the Dynamic Duo to be able to get a proper grinder later on.
  But this price on the oracle is really tempting. I'll wait for the expert opinion on this. Dynamic Duo or The Oracle.

      If your key focus is convenience then sure this is the machine for you. But its really just a glorified BES870 with added auto tamping, integrated grinder with a more steps & LCD display. I believe it lacks shot refinement as you can't use the grinder without automatic dosing + tamping.

      Not sure that justifies an extra $1500 on top of something like the BES870.

      Guess it all depends if you want to actually enjoy the experience/treat it as a hobby etc. If that is the case I'd be going a 2nd hand E.61 group head + seperate grinder. Gives a lot more flexibility with adjustment and quality.

      I've used the Oracle (extensively) and sure it's a simple to use machine that does everything for you, but it's so uninspiring if you enjoy the coffee making process. It's purely a convenience option in my eyes, I've never been able to get it to make fantastic coffee. My 2c.

        The BES870 has a 54mm portafilter, right?
        I guess the oracle wins on that for being a 58 one. It's tricky, I would certainly enjoy the fiddly of coffee brewing (since I already do this with Moka pot, pour over and Aeropress). But my wife is not as nerdy as I am. And for that, the oracle seems it would be great. OMG I so don't know what to do.

          @Neotk: I went Magnifica -> Oracle - and its amazing. However - I am now making stronger brews so only managing 3 per day vs 6 with the delonghi…

            @alanimal: I did some research and have had the following decision. Depending on how the prices on the Black Friday go:
            If I can find Breville Dynamic Duo for less than $1700, I'll get this.
            Otherwise, I'll buy a Niche Zero grinder + a Bambino Plus.
