  • Our Pak n save had 10kg Jasmine bags for $13 or $14 the other day. I thought that was a pretty normal price, has it gone up heaps or something?

    • What! which paknsave was that?

      • Lower Hutt.

        From our click and collect:

        Pasta, Rice & Noodles
        9310047219138 Fortune Everyday Jasmine Rice 10kg Promotion 2 2 $13.99 $27.98

        Looks like it's now $14.99.

        • $22 at Riccarton lol

        • strange that it's 15.99 on the grocer app

          • @Soullessmate: Yes I did realize there was some prices errors on grocer app the others day a well

          • @Soullessmate: Grocer app is correct, it's weird, if you google it and open it from there it's $14.99 (With a message about visiting from Google, the price might be different), but if you open it from the category it's $15.99. Added to cart at $14.99 though, so not sure what would happen then.

        • its $12 at p&s glen innes

  • Sunrice med grain has gone down in quality after the big fire in Oz, their rice tastes old and goes off so fast now eventhough I use a $600 IH pressure rice cooker. Other brands like wonder rose are still fine

    • i recently bought these, they are Product of Thailand . some 25 kg bags still have grown in Oz.

    • interesting, i buy aus rice assuming they have better water quality than asia, i remember there was news about the bush fire making a unique taste in wine.

      • my bad, it wasn't the bush fires but drought. the sunrice branded rice started to taster 'older' after they started have the drought notice on the packs and i thought sunrice grew their rice in australia?

This jasmine rice at Countdown is $11 for 5kg. One of the best tasting ones I've found. I would definitely say it's better than the other brands at Countdown.

  • if anyone needs SunRice Medium Grain White Rice 10kg, then you can get at $19.99 at Pak'n Save.
